We are working on a Venue our 2017 Art of the Cowboy Makers Contest.

ACM Makers Contest is a unique experience for all those who attend whether you are a Maker, Vendor, Workshop Presenter, or Sponsor by providing  exposure to a direct market with a unique contest and vendor show that is full of Handmade, Homemade, and Custom items that are part of the our Heritage,
the Rancher, Farmer and Cowboy.

Giving opportunity and exposure to those, who may not be full time in the industry, or may hold other jobs outside of their passion for the Cowboy and Western Lifestyle.

We would like to invite all Makers to enter the Art of the Cowboy Makers Contest in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo. 

We have several categories to enter in:

Bits –  Work Boots – Dress Boots – BraidingChaps/Chinks  – CinchEngraving – Hats –  Portfolio – Purse –  Rope BagSaddles – Spurs — Youth

You may enter an item that has been in previous contests, as long as it has not been in a past ACM Contest.  If you can’t make it to the NFR for all or even part of it,  you may still enter and have your entry shipped to us or send it in our trailer that will be leaving Colorado on December 5th,  we will ship it back to you after the contest or you have the option to sell it while at the ACM contest.

By taking part in the ACM contest you will be able to showcase your piece in front of consumers from across the United States who have a direct interest in the Western lifestyle, as well as compete among your peers.

During the ACM Contest we are having a vendor show called, Cowboy Cachet and Artisans. Here you can showcase your inventory, measure for that custom fit,  sell your products as well as it being  an outlet for makers across the United States who will be visiting during the NFR.  If you find another maker and want to share a booth, great!  We welcome you!

Maybe you’re Guild or Association would like to be represented and increase membership as well as showcase their members.   Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.

2015 ACM Contest

2015 Art of the Cowboy Makers

We would like to invite you, your Guild or Association and colleagues to enter the 2015 Art of the Cowboy Makers Contest being held in Las Vegas Nevada at the Roper Cowboy Marketplace during the National Finals Rodeo. On site participation is not required to enter. You may enter an item that has been in a previous contest but not in an ACM contest. Please follow the registration link for more information and to register. We want to elevate the presence of the Maker and this is the Venue to accomplish that. We Look forward to receiving your entry and taking part in continuing the heritage of our past.


Over 100,000 people attend The Roper Cowboy Marketplace during the 10 day show at The Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. Where else can your “works” be viewed by that many people in one place? The exposure and networking opportunities are outstanding. Your completed registration will put you on our Makers Map. This Map will identify to the electronic community as well as on site on our Makers Map.


We have opportunities for you to participate in demonstrations to the Public, be a Sponsor or Judge and event. We have also created a Master Maker and Veteran Maker category. No competition will be held for this level Maker, but they may still display their goods to not only present to the public but to portray the “Works of Master Makers” who are known in their field and have made their mark.


Do you have an item you would like to consign in the Auction on Saturday December 12? If so, please submit a request with the type of item. You may place a reserve price on the item. If your item is selected for the auction, there is a 20% consignment fee that goes to Cowboy Christian Connection.


Art of the Cowboy Makers will be featured in the December issue of the Horse and Gun Magazine. Don’t miss being a part of this event.
